April and May were forgotten!
In this place anyway. In life, they were relatively awesome. April I visited Joe and ended up stranded in Charlotte, NC for a night on the way back. And I got to go to Philadelphia to get home(weird routing from Charlotte to Philly to Detroit). Then in May Joe came to MI to visit and collect me and most of my worldly possessions to come back to where I am now, our home for the year in Havelock, NC.
I don't have a job yet. This disappoints me, but I guess it shouldn't surprise me. I don't know why I (and many other people) though I was just going to come down here and bang, presto! I would have a job. It's a nice thought, but... I guess this is the realism of the situation. I'm attempting to make friends, I think. I actually hung out with some of Joe's friends wives last week at the BBQ we went to. We played this game called "More Dirty Minds" obviously the sequel to Dirty Minds. Basically it was a game where you had to guess something but the clues you were given sounded more sexual, and you had to think outside of the box for an ordinary object. I won three times, and we played like five times. Then we played Scrabble. I suck at Scrabble(beats me why, I just do--I can't see where to put words, and then I swear dyslexia kicks in). We weren't being super serious playing it though, and everyone helped everyone else. We all had a margarita while we played, and it was pretty fun.
We went to the air show on Saturday and almost died. Seriously, we were out there for probably around 5 hours, and I would say the temperature with the heat index was at least as hot as 105 degrees. We drank a lot of water, but it was still miserable. I got sunburned a bit on places I swore my shirt covered. That was annoying. Also sweat pouring off everywhere was pretty annoying too. I was happy to get home, since at one point I was fearing puking from the heat. We saw some neat planes though, and Joe bought me an umbrella that could be clipped onto my chair(I think I would've been much much worse if I hadn't had that, so I was eternally grateful he loves me enough to spend $23 on it. Though, I'm sure it'll get used if we go to the beach or something like that too.
Joe has to take the ACT again on Sat, and I think we are going to another gun show that day. This means I will have been to two gun shows in less than 2 months. This is crazy! I have a feeling I should bring a book, but at least this one is like 20 minutes from our house, where the other one we went to was a little over an hour, and they were only doing permits for that county. I should get like... three chick flicks for all this! Too bad I can't stand most films like that. No Sex In The City for me... no thanks! I wanna go see Indiana Jones, Don't Mess With the Zohan, and Get Smart. We should really go, since the movie theater is within walking distance of our house. I would go someday, but I don't want to go by myself.
Joe being on nightcrew=the suck. He's on it til the end of July, then he heads to Yuma, AZ in August. Can it be September yet? :(
