I'm super excited for it, even if I've felt like death most of this week(thank you, time 'o the month). Joe had to take leave for it. They decided on Wednesday to put everyone back on 12 on 12 off shifts, and that they would work the weekend. I got all freaked out that we wouldn't be able to go for a minute, and there were going to be tears and a fairly butthurt wife to deal with if that was the case(yes, I know, it's just a thing, but it's a thing I really really want!).
It snowed here on Tuesday, which was pretty strange for a place that isn't usually suppose to get snow. I'd say we had 1-2 inches here, but it's all since melted. Snow in a place that doesn't get snow really freaks out the system. Places around us got more snow then we did though, and with out plows or salt, it makes driving pretty ridiculous.
I think I'm ready for February, but I'm not sure. I bought some construction paper to try my hand at homemade valentines. I need to work on thank you notes first, but was hoping to get a little help from Joe on that. I'm trying to figure out unique, non boring things to say on them, not just "thanks for blah blah blah, it was really nice/great/etc. Lots of people gave us money and checks though, that we put in our savings to use to buy a house someday. That is one I'm slightly stuck on, since they all went to the same place, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.
Shameless advertisement for my dear awesome photographer/seamstress/artist friend Andi, who also took our wedding photos, that I'll post some of eventually. Go buy some pretty shiny baubles from her! She has an Etsy store here and she makes really neat bracelets, earrings, and pendants. I bought a bracelet from her a while ago, and it's definitely one of my favorites. Show her some love, and help her out if you can, okay? :)

Ghost hunting? Is that like... when you run around the woods looking for the spectral presence of Bambi's dad? =P
:P Do not mess with happy fun time event.
We're ghost hunting on a freaking battleship! This is gonna be cool!
I used goofy phrases like "Thank you so much for the contribution toward our Happily Ever After!" and such...Adam so didn't help me on the thankyou card front. He wasn't even interested in getting his people's addresses! Rawr.
Well, I think I kinda forced Joe into helping me on some, especially on relatives I don't know very well, etc. I like your goofy phrase! It's cute, and I think people will appreciate it. Now, to think of more...
